She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Swanger and Pearl Swanger; her husband Walter, Jr.; her children, Debbie Steffen, Barbara Adolph, David and Dennis Steffen; her grandson Jake Adolph; and her siblings, Wayne "Sonny" Swanger, Ruthie Schultz and Ethel Tobey.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Steffen, Doug Steffen (Rhonda), Patti Salamaca (Taras), Dale Steffen (Kathy), Connie Harrison (Saul) and Susie Kyle (Ron); and her daughter-in-law Halia. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home - Holley (16650 NY-31, Holley, NY 14470). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Concordia Lutheran Church (1769 Kendall Rd, Kendall, NY 14476).
