He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Ryan and Mabel Ryan; his wife Darl Ryan (Gillette); his siblings-in-law, Sandy and George Bower; his nephew Edwin Bower; and his siblings, Jerry, Betty, Russell, Fredy and Lucille Ryan.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin Ryan (Elaine) of Holley and Kelly Ryan Valente of Batavia; his grandchildren, LeeAnna SanFilippo (Dan), Nicholas Valente (Carmen) and Jesse Valente (Ashleigh); and his great grandchildren, Ryan SanFilippo, Michael Vito Valente, Josefina Lynn Valente and Salina Rose Valente. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
