She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Griffin and Mary Lourdes Griffin-Hodinger; and her siblings, Robert, Diane and Patricia.
She is survived by: her spouse Dean Robert Nieman; her grandchildren, Alyssa and Korinna; her great grandchildren, Lorena and Milani; her stepgrandchildren, Jude, Sloan and Jasper; her grandson-in-law Nathan; her pets, Cindy and Gizmo; and also, Paula, Kellie and Scott. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Anita's Steven Swan Humane Society in Utica, as their mission aligns with the love and care for animals that Mary shared throughout her life.
