She is survived by: her son Frederick R. Scherner; her son-in-law Douglas Thompson; her children, Catherine Thompson and William Scherner; and her granddaughter Erin Kolenko (Nicholas).

She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets for donations at the church as well as making afghans for those in need.
