He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Summer Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his children, Carol Bevins (Barry), Karen Weissenburger (Gary), Joel Zarpentine (Mattie) and Sharon DiLauro (Ken); his brothers, Ronnie Zarpentine and Paul Zarpentine (Mary Claire); his grandchildren, Michael Strassner, Matthew Strassner (Jenn), Mandy Kurz, Jason Kurz, Marla Williams (Dale), Sarah Greive (Evan), Emily James, Amy Thornton (Jeff Berends), Kimberly Colley (Ryan), Jessica Hinzman-DiPasquale (Mark), Thomas Ferra, Ronnie Hinzman and Elijah Zarpentine; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Luna Strassner, Bryce Friedrich, Alicia, Alexander Dioguardi, Kira Greive, Mi Kayla Seiler, Journey Berends, Andrew, Nate Colley, Skyla Fleischer, Karenna Ferra, Natalia, Mariella, Cruz, Alonzo DiPasquale and Dale Bevins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
