With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth M. Avenia of Hillsdale, New York, who passed away on October 31, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Holmes and Anna Mae Holmes (Smith); her husband George Avenia (Moose); her grandson John Meredith; her brother Robert; her siblings-in-law, Jean Holmes and John Avenia; and her nephews, Jesse "Jake" Holmes and Roger Holmes.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Avenia Meredith, Michael Avenia (Tami) and Anthony Avenia (Stacey Zander); her grandchildren, William Meredith, Patrick Meredith (Amy), Lauren Miller (Josh), Morgan Avenia, Megan Avenia (Jonah Bremenkamp) and Nicholas Avenia; her great grandchildren, Adelyn, Braelyn and Aria; her nieces and nephews, Sharon Reid (Russ), Shirley Holmes, Paige Holmes, Wendy Matte (Robert), Carey Avenia, Gary Holmes (Emma), Michael Holmes (Sheila) and John Avenia (Margaret); and her sister-in-law Ruth Avenia.
