He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Klaus Burfeindt and Maria Burfeindt (Mehrkens); his wife Barbara Jane Terra of Highland; his sisters, Elsa Murphy and Erika Gaffney of Chapel Hill, NC; his sister-in-law Phyllis Terra Lim of Tucson, AZ; his children, Jeffrey and Jacqueline Miller of Poughkeepsie, NY; his pet Bemer; his nephews, John T. Gaffney of West Orange, NJ and Karl Murphy, Jr. of Chapel Hill, NC; his niece Deborah Gravinese of Brewster, NY.; and his children, Gerhard "Jerry" and Phyllis Ljuljdjuraj.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dutchess County Animal Rescue & Sanctuary in memory of Jerry.
