He was predeceased by: his parents, Justin Butwell and Maryjane Butwell. He is survived by: his wife Kelli Messina; his siblings, Deborah Jones (Billy), Lisa Argenio (Jerry) and Justin Butwell (Kim); his parents-in-law, Carol and Richard Messina; and his brothers-in-law, Rich Messina (Melissa) and Michael Messina. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and a great-niece.

Freddy had a deep love for animals, contributions in memory of Freddy can be made to the Hudson Valley SPCA, PO Box 356, Vails Gate, NY 12584.
