He was predeceased by: his parents, Durwood Swart and Margaret Swart; and his daughter Jennifer DeMarco. He is survived by: his wife Dawn M Fitzpatrick; his son James (Jocelyn); his grandsons, Benjamin, Nathaniel and Gabriel; his son Daniel (Brittany); his grandchildren, Micah, Jennifer and Carl John DeMarco; and his siblings, Janet Greer, Helen Gillespy, Marian Hagan, Richard Swart and John Swart.
