It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James M. Checa of Highland Mills, New York, born in Suffern, New York, who passed away on June 26, 2022, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Florence (Meyer) and Joseph James Checa; and his sister Janice Grahn. He is survived by: his close friend Lisa Santillo; his daughter Jamie Bill; and his brother-in-law Tom Tietjen. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, in addition to several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
