She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Schwarsin and Anna Weick Schwarsin; and her son Richard G. Schaefer. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Schafer (Lori) of Saugerties, Raymond Schaefer of Florida and Steve Schaefer (Edna) of High Falls; and her siblings, Marilyn Shaffsick of Albertson, NY and Walter Schwarsin of Douglas Manor, NY.. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and serveral nieces and nephews.
