It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence C Steiger (Hewlett, New York), who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Aaron Steiger; and her parents, Jerome Cohen and Marion Cohen. She is survived by: her children, Margie, Harold Schechter, Ken Steiger, Lisa Barie, Jill and David Orbuch; her grandchildren, Craig, Erika, Carrie, Brian, Alex, Drew, Sarah, Caleb, Elana, Mira and Rachel; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Luke and Kobi; and her siblings, Lois and Ron (Joan). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Boulevard-Riverside Funeral Home (1450 Broadway, Hewlett, NY 11557). A shiva was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Temple Am Echad (1 Saperstein Plaza, Lynbrook, NY 11563).
