He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Groom and Genevieve Groom (Darby); his siblings, Bertha Groom and William Groom; and his daughter Valerie.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn Zukowski; his granddaughter Sarah Falcon (Jay); and his daughters, Olivia, Mylah, Colleen and Amy. He is also survived by many other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
