She was predeceased by: her husband John Andrew Benson; and her son Jay Benson. She is survived by: her children, Janis Gillespie (Jim) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Jill Van Steenburgh (Scott) of Greenville, Jon Benson (Rebecca) of Newburyport and James Benson (Heidi) of Ilion. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
