Nancy Jean Conkling Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Jean Conkling of Herkimer, New York, who passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nancy Jean Conkling to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Clements and Hazel Scott Clements; her husband William Conkling; her sons, William Conkling and Alvin Madison; and her siblings, Lewis Clements, Jr., Fred Clements, Elizabeth Eggleston, Louise Ainsworth and Florence Loomis.
She is survived by: her son Gordon Conkling (Kay) of Erie; her daughter-in-law Ruth; her grandchildren, Nancy Jones, Eric Madison, Adam Conkling and Shelby Conkling; and her nephew Jerry Eggleston. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fenner Funeral Home Inc. (115 Court St, Herkimer, NY 13350). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A special thanks to Deb, Elsie, and Terri from the Activities Department that helped facilitate communication during COVID and for family members unable to visit in person because of the distance from the facility.
In lieu of flowers, the family is recommending donations to the Alzheimer's Association of Central New York.
