He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Gertz and Dorothy Rockman; his parents-in-law, Valeria and John Lucek; and his nephew Shay Resnick Gertz.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Gertz (Lucek) of Herkimer, NY; his daughters, Jennifer (Jeremy Yaddaw), Kari (Joseph Jansen) and Dana (Ellen Cormier); his grandsons, Harrison and Ezra Yaddaw; and his siblings, Ken, Sue Gertz of Petaluma, CA, Debra Gertz, Carole Resnick of Syracuse, NY and Susan Karp of Willits, CA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
