John M. Kress Sr. Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John M. Kress Sr. of Herkimer, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on November 29, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo J. Kress and Helen Kress (Orgel); and his siblings, Robert Kress, Helen Knepka and Beverly Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Smith; and his children, Michele Stone (Michael), Donna Fedor, John Kress (Jean) and Paul Kress. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home (4309 Acme Rd, Ilion, NY 13357). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Annunciation Church (50 West St, Ilion, NY 13357).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Central New York Chapter, 200 Gateway Park Drive, Syracuse, New York 13212.
