He was predeceased by: his father John R. Grainer, Sr.; and his son Joseph Paracka. He is survived by: his mother Mary Lou Grainer of Little Falls; his fiancée Susan Bennett of Herkimer; his children, Sarah Grainer (Jerold Bahr) of Middleville, Shannon Grainer of Herkimer, John R. Grainer, III of Herkimer and Jake Bennett (Ashley Evangelow) of Richfield Springs; his siblings, Debra Pendolf of Little Falls, Kathy Grainer of Little Falls, Jodi Grower (Richard) of Little Falls, Lori Denmark (Jose Macon) of Herkimer and Jeffrey A. Grainer (Debbie) of Little Falls; and his grandsons, Cory Collard and Mason Shepherd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
