He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson D. Shults-DeRidder and Helen Shults-DeRidder (Darling); and his sisters, Norma Lincourt, Jacqueline Coffin (Shults) and Judy Shults.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Shults of Dolgeville; his sons, Douglas C. and Thomas J. Shults of Dolgeville; his grandsons, Douglas (Shults) and Jackson D. Shults; his stepchildren, Brett Herringshaw (Kirsty) and Carrie Herringshaw-Rockwell (Richard); and his siblings, Judith Scheuerman (Renford) of Johnstown, Greg Shults of Gloversville and Joanne Grinnell (Shults) of Glens Falls. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
