It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Scanlon of Herkimer, New York, born in Little Falls, New York, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Grainer and Rita Grainer (Goodbred); and her husband Donald Scanlon. She is survived by: her children, Donna Newman (Brad), Sandra Scanlon, Roger Scanlon and Donald "Ricky" Scanlon; her grandchildren, Kalee Clark (Rob), Ryan Newman (Brynn), Nicole Newman, Matthew Jones, Brianne Scanlon and Lillyonna Scanlon; and her great grandchild Bodhi Clark. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Dorothy's wishes and due to the current COVID - 19 restrictions, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
