He was predeceased by: his parents, George Davis and Elma Davis; his brother Tom Davis; and his daughter-in-law Jean Bertola Davis. He is survived by: his wife Charis Storms Davis; and his children, Sara Ellen Davis of Ashland and Scott Weldon Davis of Greenville. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, as well as nieces and nephews.
