He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Frances; and his siblings, Charles O'Brien and Corinne Moriarty. He is survived by: his wife Peggy O'Brien; his children, Sean Michael O'Brien, Christine Marie Lopez (Salvatore Lopez), Karen Elizabeth Lampman (Kenneth Lampman) and James Christopher O'Brien (Kelly Julian O'Brien); and his grandchildren, Lauren Isabella Lopez, Dylan Alexander Lopez, Wesley James Lopez, Aiden Michael O'Brien, Mi-Cha Claire O'Brien, Turi Frances O'Brien, Paul James O'Brien and Declan John O'Brien.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that anyone wishing to honor Jim's memory do so by making a philanthropic gift in his name to the Parkinson's Disease Research Fund (A03934) at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
