We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2023, Helen V. Elam of Henrietta, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vollmer and Apollonia Vollmer (James W. Elam); her brothers, Jimmy Vollmer (Lillian), John "Jack" Vollmer (Vera) and Paul Vollmer (May); her siblings-in-law, Sally Trout (Bob), Mary McNamara (Bernie) and David Elam; and her friend Rosemary Norton.
She is survived by: her children, James D. Elam (Helen), Mary Beth Prosnitz (Jay) and Helen Maeve Mac An (Ben); her grandsons, Aaron Prosnitz (Hilary) and Daniel Prosnitz (Mounifa); her great grandchildren, David, Elizabeth and Sarah Prosnitz; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Saetta Sharon (Mike) and Loetta Elam; her stepgrandchildren, Tanya and Aidan Finn; her niece Deirdre Dalton; and her husband James W. Elam. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
