He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta A. Doran; his son Michael Doran; and his siblings, Eileen Wyant, Anne Hubertson, Margaret Telgenhoff, Robert, Raymond, Gerald and Charles Doran.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah McCaffrey and Timothy Doran (Betty); his grandchildren, Shaun Doran, Shannon Shanks (David), Peter Dykas (Kyoka), Nicole Lipinski (Daniel), Jennifer Doran (Mark Terry) and Kellie Doran; and his daughter-in-law Patricia Doran. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Joseph Gallipeau American Legion Post # 294, 5480 East Avon Road, Avon, NY 14414 in his memory.
