With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rufus R Chalmers of Henderson, New York, born in Concord, New Hampshire, who passed away on October 31, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Duncan McFarland Chalmers and Marian Haynes Ripley; his stepfather R. Frank Steele; his stepdaughter Andrea Post-Lynch; his sister Carol Chalmers; and his close friend Bob Smith.
He is survived by: his former wife Marsha Whitford; his wife Rubie Chalmers; his children, RobRoy Chalmers and Keri Chalmers (Earl); his stepdaughter Gail Fulkerson; his son-in-law Shawn Lynch (Teri); and his grandchildren, Kristin Proven (Zeb), Dylan Fulkerson (Kaitlyn), Kortney Fulkerson, Michelle Lorusso (Peter), Jordan Collins (Tashia), Izadora Chalmers and Connor Collins. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
