It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rosa Acevedo (Hawthorne, New York), who passed away on September 2, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Feliciano Marrero and Dolores Marrero (Fuentes); her brothers, Hector, Enrique and Miguel; her husband Humberto Acevedo; and her son-in-law Robert Vergara.
She is survived by: her daughters, Soraya Vergara, Vilma Cohen (Neil), Patty Flinn (Lawrence), Lisette Bruner (Lucio) and Yvonne Colon (Hector); her grandchildren, Danielle Vitucci Raniolo (Gary), Dean Vergara, Nicholas Vitucci, Louis Vitucci, Christian Colon, Samantha Gotay, Nicole Gotay, Jamilee Ramos, Jonathan Cohen, Christina Colon, Christen Colon, Christa Colon, Jaden Bruner and Lawrence Flinn IV; her great grandchildren, Noah Finn Muller and Connor Michael Colon; and her brother Louis Marrero (Virginia). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
