She was predeceased by: her husband Anthony V. Gizzi; her parents, Edward Kovalsky and Anna Kovalsky; and her brothers, Edward Kovalsky and John Kovalsky (Marilyn Capasso).
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony (Bernadette), Robert (Ann Marie) and Mark (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Caroline Gizzi Scharf (Elliot), James Gizzi, Justine Gizzi, Anthony and Michael Gizzi; her great grandchild Theodore Scharf; and her brother-in-law Frank Capasso.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George M. Holt Funeral Home (50 New Main St, Haverstraw, NY 10927). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter & St Mary Roman Catholic Church (115 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY 10927).
Marie will be laid to rest with her husband Anthony, at St Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY. in lieu of flowers. Memorial Donations may be made to St. Peter's & St. Mary's RC Church, 115 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY 10927or Meals on Wheels of Rockland County, 121 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY 10954.
