He is survived by: his wife Ana of Haverstraw; his children, Nelson (Beatrice) of Walden, NY, Maria (Robin Finkelstein) of Stony Point, Jose (Wendy Guzman) of Haverstraw and Manny (Jamie) of Stony Point; and his sister Carmen Melendez Alvarado.
