He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Petas and Alexandra Petas; and his sister Ann. He is survived by: his children, Peter (Ted Jones) and Alexandra Pappas (Dean Pappas); and his grandchildren, William John and Eleni Evgenia Pappas.
The family asks that donations be made to Prophet Elias in lieu of flowers.
