George Robert Matte Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Robert Matte (Hastings, New York), born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on June 1, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Adele Jr. (Cazzaniga); his son John; and also, Robert Jr. and George Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Marianne of Kennebunk, Judith Sanseverino (Alan) of Hastings, Elizabeth DiRenzo (Peter) of Sleepy Hollow and James (Juliet Pennington) of North Attleboro; his daughter-in-law Maureen of Rochester; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Tyler, Anthony, Elizabeth, Sarah, Brian, Isabella, Olivia, Alan and Jennifer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hastings Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, whose members have been incredibly supportive over the years.
