He is survived by: his wife Barbara Baxter McNear; his children, Julie Sherman (Steve) and Steven Eisen; his sister Beth E. Berger (Michael); his stepdaughter Amanda Jacobs (Mike); his stepgrandchildren, Jackie Daley (Adam), Ally Sherman, Leah Sherman Africk (Ben), Brandon Eisen, Julian Jacobs, Sam Jacobs and Owen Jacobs; and his great grandchild Sheridan Daley.

He worked on a draft of this obituary when he was stranded in South Asia on a cruise ship In February, 2020 at the beginning of the Covid pandemic.
