He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Ann Covert (Schilling) and Robert E. Covert. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his daughters, Colleen Witter (Jason) of West Winfield, Dana Conte (Nathan) of Hartwick and Lisa Covert (Jason Rashkow) of Castelton; his grandchildren, Joseph, John Conte, Kathryn Conte, Mackenzie and Gwendolyn Witter; his sister Kathleen; and his brother-in-law Jon Sammis of Petersham, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, along with several special friends.
