He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Hess; his brother Martin; his sister-in-law Gertrude Cornell; his brother Howard; his sisters-in-law, Doris Cornell and Vera Cornell; and his nephews, Mark, Klaus and Paul Cornell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Geer (Paul) and Janet Rice (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Noah Rice and Emma Rice; his brother LeRoy Cornell of Topeka; and also Janet. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
