She was predeceased by: her husband Morrell "Moe" Gurdin; and her parents, Elizabeth Jacob and Frank Jacob. She is survived by: her daughter Evelyn Cohen (Marc); her granddaughter Emily; her son Scott Gurdin (Lisa); and her grandchildren, Abbi, Gabby and Jack.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's name can be made to Woodlands Community Temple, Sarah Neuman Nursing Home or a charity of one's choice.
