He was predeceased by: his father Domenico Nigro; and his sister Rosina Nigro. He is survived by: his wife Maria Rosa; his children, Salvatore Nigro (Daniela), Mirella Panetta (Cosimo) and Domenick Nigro; his grandchildren, Daniela Cappadora (Robert), Jessica Nigro, Annalisa Panetta and Cosimo Panetta Jr.; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Raimondi Jr. and Francesca Cappadora; and his siblings, Rocco Nigro, Nicodemo Nigro and Maria Nigro.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
