She is survived by: her parents, Alfred Alvord and Hazel Alvord (Penwright); her children, Leonard Serusa, Carla Hart (Thomas) and Renee Diaz (Jonas); her siblings, Alma Meiklejohn, Marion Bartholomew and Edward Alvord, Sr.; and her friend Nero. She is also survived by grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
