She was predeceased by: her friend Phyllis Lerwick; her husband Richard Marshall Bromley; her sister Patricia Brown (Whitmarsh); her stepsisters, Joan Hamilton Thorne and Jean Hamilton Perry; her son-in-law Robert VanDerHeide; and her brother-in-law James Bromley.
She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Jean and Joan; her stepmother Sarah; her friends, Lida Bassler, Brenda Rhodes, Bill Mihalko, Pat Dalpiaz and Jenny Smith; her children, Rebecca Marie VanDerHeide and Robert James Bromley; her sister Laura Jane Tracy (Whitmarsh); her grandchildren, Laura Jane VanDerHeide (Kris Eckrote) and James Robert VanDerHeide (Hollie); her great grandchildren, Rory Elizabeth, Ella Jane VanDerHeide and Matilda Frances Eckrote; and her sister-in-law Nancy Bromley. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Fran was able to fill positions on the Board of Directors of the Nineveh Public Library, the Indian Hill Girl Scout Council - where she received the Women of Distinction award, and the RBM foundation which made decisions about applications for donated funds.
