She was predeceased by: her parents, Milford Smith and Zola Smith; her stepfather Harold Fox (Dinehart); and her brother Bruce Lee Smith. She is survived by: her husband David L. Stevenson; her daughter Heather Greene (Joseph) of East Meredith; her sisters, Leola Gould of Penn Yan and Laurel Maslyn of Geneva; and her nieces and nephews, Brian Shaffer (Diane), Jacob Maslyn (Jeanette), Luke Maslyn (Emily), Judd Maslyn (Jennifer), Isaac Maslyn (Kristen), Terri Shaffer (David Jansen) and Kelly Shaffer.
Her defining characteristic was as a champion for people and animals, her contributions too numerous to mention.
