Garret VanDeWeert Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garret VanDeWeert of Harford, New York, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella TenKate and Garret VanDeweert; and his siblings, Bernard (Patricia) of Towanda, Henry (Helen) of King George, John of Dryden, NY and Carol Anne of Dryden, NY.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Lynch; his children, Garret John (Patti) of Harford, Joe, Mary Marchica (John) of Erieville and Ella Emmick (Darrell) of Harford Mills; his grandsons, Christopher VanDeWeert and Nick Emmick (Emily); his great grandchildren, Harper and Hannah; his grandchild Casey; his great grandchildren, Bradley, Evelynne and Zachary; his grandchildren, Joshua (Angela) and VanDeweert; his great grandchildren, Adam, Brensyn and Cayden; his granddaughter Francesca VanDeWeert; his great grandchild Savannah; his granddaughter Samantha VanDeWeert; his great grandchild Nova; and his grandchildren, Issac VanDeWeert (Jenn) and Emma Marchica. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Stephen's Catholic Church (16 Academy St, Marathon, NY 13803). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
