He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Saunders and Dorathy Saunders; his son Andrew Saunders; his grandson Michael Saunders; and his sister Beverly Chetney.

He is survived by: his wife Jennie Saunders; his son Eric Saunders; and his grandchildren, Shane Saunders and Jenna Saunders.
