He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd "Toby" and Dorothy Tyler; his sister Marjorie Tyler; and his son Jonathan Scott Tyler. He is survived by: his wife Judy Johnson Tyler; his daughters, Jill Gilbert (Craig) and Susan Messer (Charlie); his grandchildren, Jonathan Gilbert, Jessica Burzynski (Matthew), Samuel Gilbert (Destiny), Ethan Messer and Jillian Messer; his great grandchild Scarlett Burzynski; his brother Donald Tyler (Carole); and his sister-in-law Lynne "Bunny" Phillips. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hannibal United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
