He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Sanders Smith and Walter Snowdon Smith, III. He is survived by: his sisters, Tracey S. Harris (late Richard G.) of Glenville and Brooke Smith of Ballston Spa; his former wife Nancy Wainwright of Annapolis, Maryland.; and his close friends, Rocky Craver and Emily Baker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Contributions are encouraged to be made in Jerry's name to the American Cancer Society.
