Peter John Ambrose Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2025, Peter John Ambrose of Hannacroix, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Ambrose and Jean E. Ambrose; his stepson Billy Freund, Jr.; his sister Christine McKeon (John); and his nephew Matthew McKeon.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela E. Ambrose; his child Garrick M. Ambrose (Meghan Folsom); his grandchildren, Walker F. Ambrose, Lexie Leigh Freund and Larson William Freund; his siblings, Elizabeth Simons (David), James Ambrose (Karen) and Kathryn Bonomo (Thomas); his daughter-in-law Susan A. Freund; and his nieces and nephews, James McKeon, Joseph, Emily Simons, Kimberly Stacy, Michael, Kelley, Jack Ambrose, Alexandra, Margot, Thomas, Jacqueline and Christina Bonomo.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Parish (429 E Allen St, Hudson, NY 12534).
The artist was the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts, a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant and a New York Experimental Glass Workshop grant, the last giving him an opportunity to work with casting crystal in large sculptural elements.
