She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Hoffmann and Thelma Hughes Hoffmann; and her brothers-in-law, George Rosenberger, James Bacon, Robert Bauer and Roger Bauer.

She is survived by: her husband Leonard Bauer; her children, Michael Bauer (Julie), Annette Bauer, Stephen Bauer, Richard Bauer, Katrina Swett (Jon) and Theresa Parson (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Lindsey Bauer (Louis Takacs), Lucas Bauer, Jonah Bauer, Noah Bauer, Lily Swett, James Swett and Philip Swett; her sisters, Charlotte Ida Rosenberger, Kay Bacon and Linda Charnock (Tom); and her sisters-in-law, Laura Bauer and Kathleen Abram (Douglas). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marcia volunteered at the Thrift Shop and for RSVP transportation services.
