He was predeceased by: his wife Mona M. Hughes; and his son Darryn. He is survived by: his children, Douglas Hughes (Jane), Darla Diehl (David), Dale Hughes (Beverly) and Dawn Barry; and his sisters, Isabelle Fenner and Betty Purdy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
