With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Andrew Matz of Hampton Bays, New York, born in Manhattan, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 30, 2024 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Matz and Lucienne Matz; and his sister Paulette. He is survived by: his wife Donna Matz; his children, Audrey Pasierb (Bill), Douglas Matz (Melanie) and Karen L'HommeDieu (Russ); his grandchildren, Zachary Arenz (David), Kaitlin Solis (Donovan), Meridythe Donnan, Seth Donnan, Wyatt Brigham (Kiersten), Carter Brigham and Michael Matz; and his great grandchildren, Grace, Luis Solis and Griffin Brigham.

“Doug and family: Please accept this sincere remembrance of a inspiring gentleman. While I only had occasion to directly meet Mickey a few times I was influenced by his business presence and his fair practices. He always knew who to hire and valued family. While completeness and negativity were the accepted methods I found “MATZ”, therefore Iwas above that. I never heard of negative comments against any of my presentations and only heard of strong positives about “MATZ” quality and workmanship-.”
