It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda A. Grimes of Hammondsport, New York, who passed away on August 1, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Gooding and Ruth Gooding (Berry). She is survived by: her husband Wayne; and her brothers, Floyd Gooding, Jr. of Maryland and Brian Gooding (Jenny) of Oregon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to St. James Episcopal Church, 46 Lake St., Hammondsport, NY 14840.

“Wayne - I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Linda's death. We were so close for so long. I have missed our friendship. She turned me on to bluegrass. I never fail to think of you and her when we see the Seldom Scene and Dudley Connell. We had the best times and lots and lots of laughs and giggles. I'm planning to go to the funeral.
