With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lela D. Brown (Hammondsport, New York), who passed away on November 12, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn Day and Dorothea Day of Wayne, N. Y.; and her brother-in-law James Allen. She is survived by: her husband Howard E. Brown; her children, Robert Brown (Bonnie), Ryan Brown (Vanessa) of Bath, NY and Robyn Wilkins (Terry) of Corfu, NY.; her grandchildren, Stephania Wallace (John) of Wallace, NY, Amber O'Conner (Joe) of Christiansburg, VA., Justin Brown (Karen) of Atlanta, GA., Ashley Brown (Adam) of Salem, VA and Aaron Wilkins (Capri) of Corfu, NY; her great grandchildren, Ainsley, Grayson, Liam, Patryk, Brenik, Kian, Cormac and Everett; her daughter-in-law Christina Brown of Bath, NY; and her siblings, David Day (Joan), Linda Longwell (Lyn) of Waterloo, NY and Judy Allen of Tyrone, NY. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made to the New York State Troopers Foundation Signal 30 Fund which supports trooper's families in times of tragic events.
