He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley. He is survived by: his children, Linda Buttermore (Roger), William Jefferds (Linda), Laura Pitcher (Steven), Marjorie "Maggie" Payne (Rick), John Jefferds (Linda) and Barbara Waters; and his sister Maggie Zeh. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
