It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra A. MacKinnon of Hamilton, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on October 21, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harold Matteson and Eleanor Matteson; her children, Gregor MacKinnon (Beth) of Hubbardsville, NY and Marcia Kaveney (Dan) of Bozeman, MT; her foster son Jerry Sadler of Charlotte, NC; her brother Gary Matteson, Sr. (Nori) of Hamilton; and her granddaughters, Anna, Claire Kaveney and Alyssa MacKinnon. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Sandy bravely fought an aggressive form of breast cancer for twenty years, including metastatic cancer for the past five, only to quietly and quickly succumb to Covid-19.
